Which devices can I use ExplainThisDoc on?

ExplainThisDoc runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 and later. Local summaries and key facts use Apple Intelligence, enabled on a supported device and in a supported language. Pro processes document text with your chosen AI provider and also works on devices without Apple Intelligence.

Where are my documents stored?

Your archive is stored on your device. Optional iCloud Sync keeps documents, explanations and notes up to date across your own devices through your private iCloud. Local analysis runs on your device. For Pro, the recognized text is sent to your chosen AI provider.
